Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are considered to be the backbone of any economy and their creation and protection is essential for sustained growth of a nation. The intellectual property rights are now not only being used as a tool to protect the creativity and generate revenue but also to build strategic alliances for the socioeconomic and technological growth. Accordingly, the Intellectual Property Office in India is dedicated to mobilize the use of such technological advancement for socio-economic development, which is a constitutional mandate, by creating the requisite IP culture.
