Opening of places of business requires prior approval of IRDA :

Section 64VC requires every insurance company to take a approval in advance in IRDA for opening any place of business or for relocation of an existing place of business outside the same city, town or village. The approval is required to be sought for opening of any offices, whether called as Branch office, Head Office, Administrative office, Satellite office or any other similar names.
