PROVISIONS RELATING TO APPLICABILITY OF BAGGAGE RULES TO THE MEMBERS OF A CREW:

As per Rule 10 , the provisions are :

• Rules applicable to crew members of foreign going vessel: In case of crew members engaged in a foreign going vessel , duty free allowance shall be given at a time of final pay off on termination of their engagement . However, items like cheese , chocolates , cosmetics and other petty gift items for the personal or family use of crew member of a vessel are allowed to be brought up to Rs. 1500
• Rules applicable to the crew members of an aircraft: A crew member of an aircraft shall only be allowed to bring items like gifts, chocolates, cheese, cosmetics and other petty gift items at the time of the returning of the aircraft from foreign journey for their personal or family use not exceeding Rs 1500 in value.
