Banks may account the CDs at issue price under the Head “CDs issued” and show the same under “Deposits”. Accounting entries towards discount will be same as in case of ‘Cash Certificate’. Banks should maintain a register of CDs issued with complete particulars.
The Bank will maintain “CD Redemption Account” represented by specific ISIN.
