Characteristics of an injunction

Characteristics of an injunction :

An injunction has three characteristic features;

(a) It is a judicial process.

(b) The object of this judicial process is to restrain or to prevent.

(c) The act restrained or prevented is a wrongful act. An injuction acts or operates always in personam.

If the wrongful act has already taken place, the injunction prevents its repetition. If it is merely threatened, the threat is prevented from being executed.
