Restriction on payment of commission to staff members including officers

Restriction on payment of commission to staff members including officers :
Section 10(1)(b)(ii) of Banking Regulation Act, 1934, stipulates that a banking company shall not employ or continue the employment of any person
whose remuneration or part of whose remuneration takes the form of commission or a share in the profits of the company. Further, clause (b) of
Section 10(1)(b)(ii) permits payment of commission to any person who is employed only otherwise than as a regular staff. Therefore, banks should not
pay commission to staff members and officers for recovery of loans.
