TRANSITION SCHEME FOR REGISTRANTS OF CERTIFICATE COURSE ON INTERNATIONAL TAXATION WHO ARE INTERESTED IN PURSUING POST QUALIFICATION DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL TAXATION

To help our members to build capacities in the area of international taxation, ICAI through its dedicated Committee on International Taxation was conducting a certificate course on International Taxation for its members. After successfully organizing certificate course for numerous years, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, with the approval of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, brought out a Post Qualification Diploma in International Taxation for its members in the year 2016.

On commencement of Diploma course, the Certificate course on International Taxation was discontinued. Requests were received from registrants of Certificate course to bring out a scheme for them so that they can pursue the Diploma course.

Since the course content of the Diploma Course is wider than the Certificate Course, a transition scheme for the registrants of Certificate course on International Taxation was worked out by the Committee on International Taxation of ICAI. The details of the same are given below:

 

A. APPLICABILITY

 

I. This scheme is applicable for the members who had enrolled themselves for certificate course in International Taxation AND

a) have SUCCESSFULLY CLEARED the Certificate course in International taxation;

OR;

b) have not cleared/ attempted the Assessment Test of the certificate course but have ATTENDED MORE THAN 50% of TRAINING SESSIONS.
II. This Scheme is applicable only for a period of two years from the date of this Announcement.

Assessment Test of Diploma course (INTT AT) The Assessment test for Post Qualification Diploma in International taxation will be conducted at such intervals, in such manner and at such time and places, as the Examination Committee may direct. Candidates are advised to refer to examination notifications hosted from time to time on the website of the Institute www.icai.org to ensure compliance of specific requirements of the

forthcoming Assessment Tests. Presently, the Assessment test is held in the months of May and November every year.

Eligibility to appear for INTT AT A candidate will be eligible to appear for INTT AT after completing e-learning sessions and issue of Eligibility Certificate by the Committee on International Taxation.

 

C. HOW TO APPLY

 

The e-Learning sessions for this scheme are available on the e-Learning portal of the Institute http://elearn.icai.org. To apply for the scheme the following steps are required to be taken:

1. Pay the requisite fee through any of the following modes of payment;

 Online by clicking on the relevant link given in http://elearn.icai.org; OR

 Through Demand Draft of Rs. 15,000/- drawn in favour of ‘The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’ payable at New Delhi.

2. Fill up the Registration Form

3. Send the duly filled up registration form along with the following documents to theCommittee:

 Demand Draft / Proof of online payment

 Two copies of recent passport sized photographs and

 Proof of ICAI membership.

D. HOW TO ACCESS THE E-LEARNING SESSIONS

The registration form along with requisite fees and documents once received will be verified for eligibility by the Committee Secretariat. Thereafter, within 3 working days, a suitable communication will be sent to the email id of the registrant;

 In case, the member is found ineligible to apply for this scheme, the same will be communicated and the fees will be refunded.

 In case, the member is found eligible to apply for this scheme and the received application is complete in all respects, further details to allow access to e-learning sessions will be communicated.

 In case the registration form is not complete/ clear or any required document is not received, appropriate communication will be sent for doing the needful. The application will be processed further only when it is found complete in all respects.

 

E. CPE HOURS

 25 CPE Hours shall be granted on completion of training
 5 CPE Hours shall be granted only after qualifying the INTT AT
